Can I modify or cancel my reservation?
Yes. Reservations can be modified or cancelled according to the cancellation terms shown at checkout. As a general guideline: Free cancellation up to 5 days before check-in. Changes are subject to availability. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full. If you need assistance, please contact us at stay@yttersiabase.no and we will do our best to help.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 14:00, and check-out is at 11:00. Self check-in is available for all rooms and cabins.
Do I need a credit card to make a reservation?
Yes. A valid credit card is required to secure your booking. Payment is charged according to the selected cancellation policy.
Do you offer early check-in or late check-out?
Sometimes, depending on availability. Contact us, and we’ll do our best to arrange it.
Is breakfast included in the reservation?
Breakfast is not included unless selected as an add-on during booking. You can add it in your reservation or on arrival.
What happens if I don’t show up for my reservation?
No-shows are charged according to the cancellation policy of your booking.
Do you offer group reservations?
Yes. We welcome groups for events, retreats, hikes, workshops and celebrations. Contact us for custom pricing and planning.
How do I get to Yttersia Base?
The easiest routes are via Tromsø or Bardufoss airports. – Arctic Route bus: daily year-round departures – By car: 2.5 hrs from Tromsø via Brensholmen ferry – Summer ferry: Andenes → Gryllefjord We also offer transport from Tromsø and Bardufoss on request.
Do you offer guided tours and activities?
Yes. We offer guided ski touring, snowshoe hikes, sightseeing, photography tours, and equipment rentals — all bookable directly on our website or during your stay.
Is winter driving safe on Senja?
Roads are maintained daily, but winter conditions can be challenging. We strongly recommend renting a car with proper winter tires or booking our transfer service.
Can I bring pets?
Pets are allowed in select cabins (extra cleaning fee applies). Please contact us before booking to confirm availability.
Is parking available?
Yes, free parking is available directly outside all rooms and cabins.
Do you offer sauna or jacuzzi access?
A sauna and outdoor jacuzzi are planned for launch soon. Availability will be shown on the booking page once ready.
Are you open year-round?
Yes — summer, winter, midnight sun, and northern lights seasons all offer different experiences. Activities adjust to weather and daylight.
